One of the things we love most about making music is that it’s never been about fitting into a box. Our roots are in blues, rock, Americana, country, and folk. But for a while we thought we had to choose one to be accepted and taken seriously in the industry.
What we’ve realised is that our music naturally became its own thing, and people tell us they can always recognise it as our sound.
The other day, someone in the Music Industry gave us one of the best compliments we could hope for:
“You don’t sound like anyone else and no one else sounds like you.”
That really hit home, because it’s not something we set out to achieve. We didn’t sit down and say, “Let’s create a brand new sound.” It’s just the way our songs come out when we write together. And that feels really special.

Of course, we carry our influences with us Cream, Led Zeppelin, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, The Civil Wars, Guns N’ Roses… singers like Steven Tyler, Robert Plant, Bonnie Raitt and Paul Rodgers…
On the country side, artists like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Johnny Cash, and Big & Rich to name but a few.
All of that pours into the mix, and somehow it comes out sounding like us 🔥
Writing is always about the moment we’re in.
That’s why each album feels different from the last, it reflects exactly where we are, how we’re feeling, and what we’re experiencing.
Sometimes we write about our own lives, sometimes about people we know, and sometimes about what’s happening in the world around us. But it’s always rooted in the now.
And that’s the exciting part every time we sit down to write, we never quite know what’s going to come out.
Thanks for being on this journey with us and for letting our songs be part of your story too.
Much Love
Grace & Aaron x
